Hello everyone! :D It's sync prayer once again!! :D

Today as we come together to pray, let us not forget to pray for Japan. Over the past few days, Japan experienced earthquake and tsunami, as well as nuclear plant explosions. Pray that God will heal this country and the people. Oh n QT today at Ps 73 :) jiayou!

Serene:
- Give thanks for God's Grace and strength in bringing me through the first week of my exam. 1/3 is done.
2/3 left! :) pls pray for grace, clarity of mind and strength to face this upcoming week of papers. there is so much to
cover/revise + rmb and time is running out. medicine and paeds essays on mon. med +paeds mcqs on tues. and med+paeds meqs on wed.
hahah.. i can truly say from the bottom of my heart that i am definitely not in control, but i know God is :)

Priscilla:
- Thanksgiving that Dikai accepted Christ last week. It's been eye-opening and encouraging learning from our captains.
- For Huilin for her east west tlc yesterday.
- For my dad.. he's plugging into christian music at home that he says his heart is getting tilled and watered.
- Pray for isaiah 40:31 to be real in everyone's lives.

Wen Jia:
- Pray for my FTT on the 28th Mar and my university application.

Qiurong:
-Give thanks that Singapore is a safe country and that God has given us many blessings that other countries dont enjoy.
-Pray for Japan victims and that christians there can stand strong in faith.
-Pray for this sat morn's tandao w simin's friend,may God give us wisdom and let the Holy spirit work through us.

Vincent:
- Pray that i can defer army for studies this year. I'm currently submitting the documents needed for processing. Pray for smooth and fast processing.

Wenjun:
- Please pray that God will help me to begin to evangelise from where I am, at work and especially at home!
- Also that we will always trust that God will provide.

Jeff:
- Pray that Fish will not be too stress in her work and that she will be able to handle all the cases she is facing now.
- Pray that I can get the new and better job
- Pray also for brothers and sisters to not be too stressed in their work or studies.

Sherine:
- Please pray that I will not be stressed or easily tired and be productive in using my time!! Feel that I can't cope with school, teaching, EE, and wed's bible study.
- Also pray that I can have the courage to testify for God to my friends.

Ben:
- Pray that during this relaxing period that I'll be able to get closer to God.

Justin Leow:
- Thanksgiving for last SUN's bible class attendance - 20. Heartened by turnout knowing how Sat was a long day! Let's press on with our commitment THIS WED 8PM at T21 for SAMUEL POON'S HERMENEUTICS!
- Thanksgiving for the two who accepted Christ last week - CF's Dikai & Siewhui's younger brother Zhenhui. May God let us experience more fruit-bearing! For the EE trainees - starting this week they will engage in the sharing so pray for wisdom & fluidity in transiting through the outline.
- For progress in FYP - last week I had a fruitful discussion with my prof, so pray I can take it from there & make some more progress!

Yirene:
- Pray for my mummy and my maternal grandmother as my uncle just passed away on Friday due to an unfortunate workplace accident. Pray that they will be able to find solace and comfort.
- Pray that I can manage my time well in this difficult time as I have too many deadlines to meet too.
- Lastly, pray for internship opportunities. Up will now, I am still “unemployed”, feel very disheartened. Pray that I will continuously rely on God for all matters.

Chu Qing:
- Qiurong, Simin and I will be meeting Darren, Simin's friend's friend, for gospel sharing on Saturday before the 'amazing race'. Heard from Simin that she never met him before and he have some questions and did some research. Pray that God will guide us through and the Holy Spirit will teach us at that time what we should say.
- Parents' salvation
- Pray for the people in Japan.
- Able to finish all my assignments due this week and next by this week. Have enough sleep.

Wen Hao:
- Pray for time management and understanding of priorities

Damien Pek:
- Would like to thank God for having wonderful chance of studying n understanding his word through my cell group, bible study group and Church here in Durham. Also thank God for placing Christians around him to encourage, inspire and hold accountable the decisions he make.
- Would like to pray for Japan in general for mercy on the calamity which struck them. Pray for my friends and their loved ones who are back in Japan.

Hi everyone! Today is the first monday in the month of March! Time for us, YF to come together and pray once more! Let's start off the week with prayers together and carry on for the rest of the week yeah! ;)

Preacher Chua:

Kaien:
- Give thanks for a gd chance to share sanfu with simin's friend. I'm kinda reminded once again how real and awesome our God is even tho he din accept. Pray tt im able to meet deadlines in sch this week and be more equipped to teach my students and not short-change them. Pray also for a humble leadership as a tuan zhang.

Qing Qing:
- Pls give thanks that my maternal grandfather was baptized before he passed away on the 4th of march. Pls pray for the salvation of my family, immediate and extended, and for God to grant me the wisdom and courage to reach out to my family members during this period of mourning.

Grace:
- To improve, to figure and sort things out.

Esther:
- Pray for my feet which is still quite swollen and not be so clumsy as to self kick/knock my toes. Pray for wisdom to plan time to complete my assignments, many deadlines to note. Thank God that he's always there to comfort me with his words.

Serene:
- Give thanks for the week that just passed, for a supportive tg, and for wonderful parents. Pls pray for God's grace in this busy and stressful wk ahead - surgery essays on tues, surgery slides on wed, surgery MCQs on thurs, clinical skills stations on sat. Pls pray that i will have wisdom, intelligence, logic and that i may glorify God through the process of preparing for the exams and the exams itself. Pls pray for stamina to last the next 3 weeks.
- Pray for God's peace, efficiency and clarity of mind. Also not to panic too.

Justin Lee:
- I got an offer to study in Australia and I am worried about the expenses, so hopefully God open ways for me to worry lesser on the expenses.

Priscilla:
Pray that
- the tandao this week will abound with God's grace and openess on the prospect part.
- for my parents' desire for unhealthy food to go away
-That God adds His peace and clarity this week in deciding the job to take

Wen Jia:
- Thank God for the results and for the peace before getting results. Pray for my university application and for my prospect for sanfu this week.

Huilin:
- Pray that God will guide my sis and her boyfriend as they prepare for their marriage and they will settle down in a church. Pray my colleague Linqun will be open to listening to the gospel.

Siewhui:
- Thanksgiving that my friends agree to be my dui xiang. Pray for wenjia for her university selection. Pray that i'm able to focus and rush for my projects.

Jeff:
- To get a new job

Huiqi:
- Pray for choice of degree course

Sheila:
- Pray for directions from God to further my studies.

Ben:
- Pray for uni application, I typed a 300 word description and didnt save it. Pray that i'll get shortlisted after submission too!
- Pray also for my upcoming results on 22 March, for me to pass all modules especially thermodynamics.
- Finally pray for a job before i enlist.

Justin Leow:
- For a whirlwind Saturday coming up - Yijie's wedding, EE class, worship practice.. That we'll have an effective & edifying time of serving. Great cause for thanksgiving seeing how God has helped us mature these years.
- For Sherine and Priscilla's prospect Di Kai. I spoke with him over a China Fellowship English class & he was receptive so pray his heart will be open when we share with him Wed 8.30pm at B18 coffeeshop.
- For Vincent & Shihao wearing green overseas, that they will continue to experience God & come back safely. For Sinliang's schoolwork deadlines, that he'll take this chance to praise God with his work.
- For creativity & fluidity in writing a good final paper draft. It is due 2 hours from now (12am)!

Yirene Tan:
- Pray for more internship openings and success for my internship applications.
- Pray that I will get thought this difficult week as I have 3 deadlines due this week. And to be able to put in my best effort and excel in them.
- To not forget that I should constantly rely on God and His words in all time. And to remember my daily walk with Him.

Sophia Chua:
- Thank God for guiding me through the busy week at school and keeping me healthy despite little sleep.
- Pray for gospel sharing with Chu Qing’s friend Wen Ting on Tuesday. Pray for good connection with her and for her to hear the gospel as something personally relevant.

Wong Simin:
- Pray for time management, productivity and concentration.

Ng Wen Hao:
- Pray that I will be able to fervently continue the EE lesson as I will be missing consecutive 2 weeks of lessons due to a YEP leadership workshop.
- Pray that I will find clarity in my quest in finding what I want as my career.
- Pray that I do not disappoint God in my behaviours and actions in the different commitments that I have, be it project, school or relationship with family and friends.
-Pray for thanksgiving for giving me the strength and courage to approach Xin Hui, my club friend to invite her for a gospel sharing. Her testament is that of her mum through Buddhism. Though unsuccessful, I pray that one day the door will open for her.

Chu Qing:
- Sophia, Simin and I will be meeting Wen Ting, nie friend, for gospel sharing tomorrow at 7pm in lot 1. Pray that we can find a suitable place and that she will be able to know more about what God has done for her.
- Pray for good fellowship (group) time during Friday night dinner that we will be able to get more involved in each other's life. Give thanks for the opportunity to meet up.
- Time management.
- Parents' salvation

Chew Yi Le:
-Give thanks that i'm able to finish my assignments on time
-Pray for time management and wisdom to finish my management accounting submission on the 21st. 10x harder -_-
-Pray that yixiang and i can work together to coordinate yijie's wedding smoothly.
-Pray for good diet; good health
-Give thanks that He makes all things beautiful in his time!

Joyce Lim Wen Qin:
- Thank God for every day of my life and help me to continue to trust in His plans
-Pray that I can find a FYP professor before the deadline and my midterms this Wednesday.

Su Li Ying:
-Thank God for the quality time with mom, and that she found a part time job, pray it won't be too taxing on her physical health.
-Pray for opportunities to move on, to a job that has more relevent training for educational psychology, and/or possiblilities to further studies.

Heys Everyone! :) Its another monday and TIME for synchronous prayer! Amidst our busy schedules and following e rush medley of the world, lets not forget to put on God first dial yeah! :) Cheers!

Genhong:
- pray that i will survive this week's hectic schedule.

Grace:
- To lead a life that will not stray from that of one in which God delights. To be happy, to work hard and to improve.

Esther:
- Pray that my feet will stop swelling and that i can walk steadily, Pray that i will be able to cope with school assignments and able to finish it before the deadline. Pray for wisdom to plan my time well.

Rebecca:
- pray for more self-discipline to wake up early and study for exams, to be focus and productive during revision and work. Recently awarded with 2 more projects at work with almost impossible to meet timelines. Pray for peace, joy, patience and courage as I proceed with the start-up.
- I'm thankful for little things that God placed in my life that made me glad and the opportunity to know Him for who He is -- the Savior, Redeemer, Prince of peace, the Almighty unchanging God.

Minghui:
- Give thanks cos my previous psa interview was successful. They have offered me a position in their company and will be going for medical checkup this week. Pray for my good health.

Yijie:
- Pray that I wont be stressed, that I will not wonder about God's plans for me but hold on in faith. Thanksgiving for lovely bros and sis!

Sarah:
- Pray for interview on wed at Eng Wah for the position of Sales and Marketing.
- Pray for health as well coz i'm not feeling well.

Vincent:
- In Thailand now - please pray for my safety

Genxian:
- Pray for my running for elections in the Singapore society in Southampton. I will be running for the position of president. Pray that if God is willing, I will be able to get it and juggle my studies and the duties well. And also pray for wisdom as many of my friends are running for the position too and they are quite political and competitive about it, hence pray that I will be able to run for elections and yet maintain our relationships properly.
- Give thanks for my recent mooting exam (mock court hearing), as I did really well and received full marks.
- Give thanks that everything in Southampton seems to be going very well now.

Yixiang:
- Thank God that I had a blessed week.
- Pray that I'll be physically fit tmr as i'm having my body check up for RSAF. Cos i'm a bit sick recently.
- Pray that I will have a constant relationship with God.

Serene:
Give thanks for
- Huiqi in stepping out to lead Sherine and Pris to tandao last week, and for the encouragement it brought in helping them to see EE in action.
- my father who suddenly dropped by my study table to pray with me one day :)
- God's encouragement, sustenance, energy n increased rate of absorption in studying
- Mike who kindly revised some nursing stuff with me
- A sweet angel who last week blessed me with 'grace' and this week with 'jones' :)
- A good program last sat when we were all reminded to come to worship and adore God, the audience
Pls pray for
- God's grace to rmb all that i have learnt and for logic and finesse in examining and presenting. I start with surgical theory papers first, next tues, wed and thurs, and a clinical exam (osce) on sat. Pray for energy too to sustain through all 4 weeks of the exams
- Progress and good reformation plans in the middle east even in the midst of / after all these chaos.

Wenjia:
- Release of A level results on Fri!

Jeff:
- I wish i can get the new job!

Huiqi:
- Give thanks I have finished everything about sch! :)
- Pray for my future - whether or not is it starting work or studying degree in business, may things go smoothly. I don't know wad business course to study.

Wenjun:
Please pray for:
- Tonite's EE sharing with Sherine's friend, that God will open her heart to the gospel
- God to shatter the stubborn walls of my father's heart that he will be willing to explore beyond what he believes.
- My family that we will be able to find a suitable house as we have sold our current. Thank God that we manage to sell it at al high price. Hope that a new house will mark a new beginning with an opening for God.
- Ability to cope at work cause my senior officer is on 2 weeks MC, and everything falls on top of what i am doing. Didn't have time to complete required work at all.

Ben:
- Pray that I can pass the paper I just did, totally brain cell killer. Also for my last paper on Thursday.

Eunice:
- Pray for ability to concentrate and be effective and efficient in my work as I always have urgent stuff but given at the very last minute.
- Pray I will have peace as I handle all the work that i have.

Qiurong:
- Give thanks for God is good and faithful to me. For His grace for me to handle everythg under stress. (party n exams!)
- Give thanks for YF, for all the loving bros and sis(EVERYONE) for all the help on saturday esp at e bbq, mike, justin, jeff, fish n jiahao, n ben n of course yuan yuan! ( a lot a lot) n many many more. You guys were awesome, true family ttm! ;) <3
- Give thanks tht although e party was last min, weather turned out fine, and though not all but many friends fr afar still came. and my mother! for her awesome cooking(hopefully)!;)

-Thank God for his timely providence when my laptop crashed in the midst of rushing for my submission.
-Also, pray for strength and wisdom to be able to complete my submission on the 7th. Still got plenty to do!
-Pray for good health to work, study and serve hard.
-Thank God for the support from my brothers and sisters.

Su Liying:
- Give thanks for sophia/ccd's praise workshop on sat. e time of prayer at e end was refreshing n empowering.
- Mom has quit her job, pray for a gd break before she starts job-searching. And for a job tt is not too stressful/tiring but keeps her occupied and active enough for e day. I took 2 days leave this wk to accompany her and also take a break myself, pray it'll be quality time spent.
- Pray for salvation for my family.
- Pray for my work, been comtemplating whether or not to move on. Pray also for opportunities (vacancies and financial resources) to further my studies, and also which specialisation to take on.

Wong Simin:
- Pray that I will have the discipline and efficiency when working on projects.
- Pray for decisiveness, determination and wisdom to 果断地make wise decisions and stand by them

Ng Wen Hao:
- Pray that I will be able to find a great target for EE this week.
- Pray that I will study well and prepare my school work properly.

Damien Pek:
- Thankful to the Lord for putting ppl in my life to remind myself for many things. And to pray for successful performance on coming monday to wednesday.

Justin Leow:
- Pray for the commitment of EE trainees/ captains. Can sense how work/ school load is getting heavier on the students, so thank God for everyone's willingness to stretch & challenge themselves.
- Pray that this week we'll experience more "hallelujahs" - people who accept the gospel! Pray for wisdom & ability of captains to guide each sharing.
- Teaching workload just increased as I got my regular classes - 3 P5 GEP classes on top of others which makes for a lot of monkeys :). Pray for wisdom to guide these young minds & ability to balance work commitment with FYP!

Hello everyone! :D HAPPY PRAYING TONITE! :D
Its so sweet and encouraging tht u guys sent so many prayers and its sooo GREAT to know so many prayed and AMEN-ed together;)
Dear bros and sis lets jiayou and keep up THE PRAYERS ;D

Ruijun:
- Give thanks that 11 people in my group are joining the wed bible study by Bro Samuel Poon :):):) Pray that all of them will continue to grow deep in God's word everday of their lives.

Siewhui:
- Give thanks to God that things have been good for her. Pray for WenHao that he'll have good time management as he's quite busy

Wen Jia:
- A level results coming up in march. Pray that she can glorify God with her results.

Jiahao:
- Thanksgiving that he got promoted (higher pay :)) but pray that he wouldnt get weekend duties so he can go yf and church and serve. Pray for directions in his future education.

Justin Lee:
- Being assigned to Patrol and hence will have to work long hours. Pray for safety at work and that will still be able to attend church to weekends.
- Pray that his degree scholarship application can be shortlisted.

Huilin:
- Thank God for her friends who helped her when she had bad gastric pain on friday. She has new responsibilities at work, pray that she will stay focussed and not be distracted so easily when there are many things to be done at the same time. Pray for strength at work so that she will not burn out.

Rebecca:
- Pray for her as her exams are coming in one month's time and she'll be starting her Honors assignment beginning of next month and Masters assignment beginnin 4th quarter of this year. Pray for wisdom and strength.

Vincent:
- He'll be going to thailand this thursday for training. Pray for safety for this trip, and that he'll not be too achievement-minded but to be able to see what God wants him to learn and gain from OCS. Continue to pray for his parents' salvation too!

Sinliang:
- I am having exam on Tuesday, next Monday and next next Monday.

Stanley:
- Please pray for my brother who will be overseas for 6mths and my folks to be healthy. And also the marathon prayer request last week.

Yixiang:
- Give thanks that God has let me pass my Airforce compass test. Thank God that I have a committed EE student, Pris. Pray that she will continue to be and grow even more. Pray that liying and I, her prayer buddy will always remember her in our prayers. Pray that God will give me the heart and obedience to whatever outcome my pilot interview would be. Also to have faith in Him. Pray that during the free time that I have. I will use it wisely and not waste them.

Michael:
- Thank God that I have no control over my future so I don’t have to worry. Thank God for a wonderful family and YF. Thank God that my leave is coming.

Grace:
- Pray that I can become more intellectual and that my English will improve. More importantly, that I will have time to work on these. Also pray for EE that I will have the time commitment, drive and enthusiasm.

Esther:
- Thank God that its finally the week that im gg to see prof Suresh. Pray that I will be able to walk without the cast.. Cause I guess I relied too much on it. Pray for my time management to cope with studies and work. And to set realistic goals. Thank you very much!

Pris:
Thankful for:
- Liying for availing herself so willingly to share the gospel to my friend jan on sunday even though she's so busy,
that it was a great sharing and my friend was very receptive - even though she hasn't immediately accepted this gift yet, her feedback was that she was very happy to hear this being shared with her, and thinks it's very sweet of her to give that time
- the rest of my sisters and brothers who prayed, asked, cheered along the way
(this means so much when the going feels tough)

Pls pray for:
- courage to find Him in the secret place as we are, to press deep into His unfailing love and purpose
- our eyes to open to the realness of His grace everyday
- the upcoming EE b teams in their 出队 - for abounding favor & confidence with their prospects, that Love will grace the lips of the sharers and their sharings touch the hearers' hearts
- for my dad as he seems rather troubled these days... please pray for our parents' well-being everyday - to be blessed, kept and upheld by His tender mercies, because He is near, and He cares most.

Huiqi:
- Give thanks that my FYP stuff is over!
- Pray for my test on Thurs and Fri morning.
- For sanfu, Sherine's friend. Pray for a prepared and open heart for her, and for myself to brush up :)

Ben:
- Pray for my test on Tue that I will have enough preparation.
- Make full use of my time well for preparation of following papers.
- Tan dao to Wenjia's friend during the week (on sat)
- Combined YF/JYF amazing race preparation.
- Thank God so much for all His blessings, may i not take them for granted.

Sheila:
- Pray for my event for the whole of next week. Pray that I will be able to finish all my preparations before Fri. Pray that everything will go smoothly and no hiccups.

Wenjun:
- Thank God that the tenants have fall in place.
- Please pray that I can seek God deeper each day.

Sherine:
- Pray for me to have better time management and that I won't keep falling asleep while studying.
- Pray for my friend Zi Ling who's my EE prospect this week.

- Pray that my Malay will improve day by day as i speak to the Malay patients.

- Give thanks for very supportive bros, sis, family and friends.
- Thank God for energy and His sustenance too. :)
- We were officially banned from the hospital wards last Fri, and my 2 week study break has started. Please pray for ability to memorise, examine (esp orthopaedics!), synthesize and present well.
- Pray for effectiveness in studying for my upcoming medicine MCQ test this Wed too.
- Pray for chances to share about God and His grace in this stressful period too!

Justin Leow:
- Thanksgiving for the *Hermeneutics Bible Study class*! We've got *36 signed up*
- let's pray we'll all apply ourselves hard to coming for class and going deep in reading the Word!- Thanksgiving for the Evangelism Explosion (EE) class. So far the class has shared with *two prospects* over the weekend - both are considering, so pray we'll have a chance to share with them again in time to come and that they'll eventually accept. We have *three more prospects* midweek, so let's pray for these processes. Where the prospects are difficult, that we'll learn good sharing lessons; where the prospects come to Christ, that we'll experience the sweetness of our loved ones coming to Christ.
- Supplication *for the EE captains* - beyond taking our trainees through the gospel outline and refreshing ourselves, we will immerse ourselves in a life of sharing the gospel. Because as we learnt in Lesson 2 on Sat - EE is not method, it's a lifestyle.
- Thanksgiving for my FYP - I've got a good direction and headstart in the two meetings I've had with my supervisor. Now is time for the work in reading my texts, thinking really hard and turning those thoughts into English. So *pray for wisdom and the ability to sit and read and write*.

Damien Pek Wei Jian:
- Thank God for my summative test last thursday.
- Pray for Rebecca (my gf) summative essays in the upcoming 2 weeks as she is feeling really stressed over it. Pray that God gives her the wisdom to structure her essay.
- Also pray to God for my upcoming breakdance performance that the trainings and actual event will go smoothly :)

Wen Hao:
- Pray that God will continue to give the EE students courage to approach the potential EE targets
- Pray that Kok Keong (Justin, Siewhui and I did a sharing with him yesterday but we need to 继续努力, somemore he is going to China, Shanghai next Monday. Pray that he will open up and that we have another chance to share with him before he embarks on the next part of his journey in life.- Pray that I will have the wisdom to manage my time and to be able to satisfy all the requirements of the committments that are due this week. I have a EID draft report and a Engineers and Society presentation due this Friday, a quiz next Monday and a lab report due thereafter on next Tuesday.

Chu Qing:
- Pray for my friend, Gu Si Yuan, that she will be willing to listen to God's message for her as Simin, Sophia and I will be meeting her on this Wednesday at 2pm for sharing. Pray that she will be receptive to the gospel.
- Pray for good time management and more time to sleep.

- Pray that my friend, Jian Gang, will respond positively to my invitation to be Grace’s EE target.

- Thk God for bringing me through a very busy work wk, and also the sanfu sharing with Priscilla's fren ytd. Thank God that He used us to speak, to be able to remember most of e stuff, n also to be able to relate to her, making e sharing easier.
- Thank God for this prayer exercise, may we learn to carry each other burdens in prayer n also concern for each other.
- Thank God for new opportunities at work, but also pray for wisdom in prioritising. Pray also for humility n faith in God when I meet w difficulties in tricky interpersonal relations.

Joyce:
- Thank God for helping me to secure an internship and to find my last FYP group mate.
- Pray that I can quickly find a prof for my FYP and to give me wisdom and time management skills (because both of my FYP group mates are on exchange and I am the only one in Singapore to settle everything)

Yile:
- Please pray for very good time management that i'll be able to juggle work and studies and also yijie's wedding prep.
- Pray that i'll be able to do my assignments and adapt to the requirements of the university.
- Have a close walk with God regardless of the busy feb and march!

- For Kairen's enlistment. He went in on Wed and is doing okay so far.
Pray that he will experience and draw closer to God in there, and
emerge a good soldier for Christ!
- For the coming bible classes - that YF may commit in going deep in
His word by committing to a class, putting effort into reading and
understanding God's word.

Ellery:
- Pray for his younger brother, who recently has a strong interest in
christianity, that his fire to know God will grow stronger and he
could be an EE dui xiang before he goes to aussie at the end of this
month.
- Pray also for bible study class for jyf that sophia and ellery will
be leading. Pray for wisdom, perseverance and a righteous walk in
their individual daily lives, so they can be a good example and
teacher to the younger ones.

MingHui:
- Give thanks that his job interview went well. Now is to wait for reply ..

Ruijun:
- Pray for Wei Ming, yijie's friend that he'll be able to come yf on
saturdays and that his heart will be more open to Christ.

Justin Leow:
- Thanksgiving for an EE class with a great attitude in learning and
commitment. May God sustain all of us in the fight when the going gets
tougher and we start having heavier school, work commitments coming
in. Pray also for a smooth arrangement of EE prospects in the coming
week - the first time this class with engage with their prospects will
be this Sunday afternoon - and that we may all learn where the
prospects are tough, and also experience in the sweetness of seeing
our loved ones and friends come to the Lord.

- Thanksgiving for God's mercies over the weekend. Saturday was a
whirlwind rushing from work to worship pract, and then EE Lesson.
Sunday was physically strenuous leading at both Morning and Evening
Chinese Services. Plus I was sick from Friday through to Sunday with a
cough, bad throat and headache. Those who served with me would have
realised that I was coughing throughout the practices and warm-ups...
but the cough never came when the worships started proper. Thank God
he listened to my prayers and delivered me!

- Pray for wisdom in work and studies. I've got my graduation essay
outline due on Wednesday as well as my graduate school applications
due in the following week. Do pray for clarity of thought, wisdom and
ability here.

Chong Shi Hao:
- Pray for wisdom to deal with issues in the platoon, such as people
with attitude problems
- Pray that I will be able to engage the 13 14yo in nxt sat's bible study
- Thk God for the safe outfield last week

1. Esther: Pray for NO itchy feet :( Give thanks that she is able to stand and WALK.. Yay!

2. Serene: Pls pray for effectiveness in studying and for sleekness in presentation. My exam starts in 1 month ~ I still keep falling asleep and cover very little each day. Feeling that MBBS is insurmountable too. Pls pray for trust and reliance in our Almighty God. I cannot make this journey alone.

3. Kaien: Our grp to live up our grp vision to read psalms daily. Pray for my nanny's salvation. She has been ill and feeling lonely and depressed and all. Pray for chance for my family to share the gospel to her.

4. Michael: Pray for my speciality thing that i'll get into Ortho :)

5. Yixiang: Pray that i'll have more patience daily, have wisdom to handle work and ppl and to plan my future. Pray that i can slack lesser, a committed spiritual life and thank God for ppl who set up this email prayer thingy.

10. Vincent: His back and leg has been aching and is suffering from cramps. He has exercised these 3 days. He's worried about this exercises and the long term effects of it. It's been persisting for a month already.

11. Qiurong: I have Chem test tmr and A LOT of graded assignments and presentations due this week... Pray tht i can survive all this w God's grace and get all 'A's :D

12. Wenjun: Thank God for a nice group outing and please pray that I will have the consistency in my spiritual walk. Also for Yuhang and I to stop procrastinating.

1. Sherine: Pray for directions on what to do after graduation this year and for God to give me confidence in whatever I do!

2. Ben: Thank God for guiding me through my FYP. Pray that I'll focus on upcoming exams and study hard. Also to have better relationship with God, family and friends. And for God to use YF heavily in His work.

3. Winson: Pray that I can bear with my toothache until after my exams.

4. Wenjun: Thank God that the photoshoot on Friday went well, and the church for wedding is booked. Pray that this period we will not focus too much on the wedding but rather building up our relationship with YF and with God.

5. Genx: Pray for the momentum to start studying again because sem 2 is starting for me today!

6. Wenhao: Prayer of supplication for maturity in the management of time for EE and studies.
Prayer of supplication for my parents to continue to be understanding and caring of each other.

7. Weijian:
Update: He is currently studying in Durham County, England which is 8hrs behind Singapore, ie. he will do synchronous prayer at 2pm at his timing there. He has been going to church service and has mentioned that all is still going well for him. Let’s pray for his safety over there.
- To grow further in Christ and greater discipline in reading and understanding His word everyday. And for my FYP which I am currently having problems progressing in.

8. Chuqing: Pray for my grandmother's health, her leg feng1 shi1 fa1 yan2 (inflammation due to arthritis). Very hard to walk.
-Have good time management to start on my assignments which are due after CNY, at least by this week.
-I'm intending to invite some friends for the YF steamboat on 12 feb. Pray that they are willing to attend.

9. Justin Leow: Thanksgiving for an enthusiastic & committed EE class. Pray that all of YF can support it in prayer, as captains training our new additions to the team. May this class be a good springboard for great things happening in YF this year.
-Thanksgiving for a job, & how it all fits nicely into my studies plan. So pray that I may respond to God's grace through the job, that my life can reflect Christ to the people around.
- Prayer of supplication for wisdom & ability. As we grow up & out in the world, we're taking on more roles befitting our age in church (doing church-level events etc.), in our families (as children whose opinions our parents take seriously), among our friends etc. So pray that we can play these roles with wisdom, humility & strength that comes from Him.
- Prayer of supplication for our leaders - Pr Chua, Kaien & group leaders. That we'll always be humbly listening to God's voice & responding to Him, even when we are challenged to do things beyond our comfort zones.

She has many questions about Christianity and also about the sermon yesterday, pray for a open heart and opportunities for her to seek Him even after she leaves for Australia for her studies. Could pray for wisdom to ans her questions, and smooth arrangement for her studies as well.

16. Pr Chua: Pray for Sophia and Ellery as they will be teaching JYF bible class (book of Joshua) from 19 March to May this year.

17. Pris: Pray for my rashes that developed recently. They are horribly itchy and inflammed and I can't stop scratching when my mom panics then they get larger and worse.
-Pls pray my mom receives peace of mind that God's taking care of me and that they'll subside soon so i can get down to do the important things i need to do!

- Thank God for accompanying me when I was making decisions on certain things and for showering blessings on me as I try to live life a different way.
- Pray that I will commit to and focus on my new commitments.

Going to be very busy with work starting today, EE training this weekend along with other ministries like ECS etc. and also writing my final paper. Pray that I don't lose my focus on the important things - His Kingdom and people - that I have love, wisdom and ability in doing His work.

He's now in new position n has lessons fr 8am to 10pm everyday. He enjoys lessons but dont understand how these knowledge can be applied to the missions given to him.
-Pray that he can see n understand how all the small pieces fits together into the bigger picture n manage to apply them.
-Pray that he dont lose focus and stay healthy.

-Pray for huilin's auntie(mother's sister) as she has just been diagnosed w stage 3 ovarian cancer. ( lets pray for our dear sis as well to stay strong and have faith, and n with her mum n aunt, find comfort in the love of Christ)

#1: Pray for Genx coz he is having his intersemestral exams this week (he's having a paper today at 2.30pm - which is 10.30pm our time!), pray that he will have the discipline to study and have a humble heart - to not be complacent because he has done the modules last year.

#2: Pray for Genx's mock court hearings (moots) next fri as he is given the task of senior appellant (which is the hardest role to play).

#3: Give thanks coz Genx has transferred to a studio room in the hall which is near to his sch!

Adventure and Revelry

The past two weeks have been weeks of adventure and revelry for the fellowship. Last week we went for our annual night cycling. This year, we tried a new route starting from our usual Pasir Ris Park flag off point, heading straight to Bedok, before cutting down to the ECP route from the 2/3 mark. We then headed for Guillemard area where we had to deal with punctured tyres ans scrapped knees, before pushing off to town from the City Hall-Orchard stretch. Our final leg was a push all the way from Stevens Road up Dunearn-Bt Timah Road, where we finished off at our KAP stop. All in all, it was really fruitful as we had 29 in attendance, including our new friend Michael (Sinliang's buddy) and first time night cyclists Huijun and Eunice. Kudos to Ellery and Sinliang for a great fellowship night out!

And this week we had a Bible Study led by Sarah and Serene! Using excerpts from Psalm 119, we traced the psalmist's relationship with God's Word in three random groups. It was a fruitful discussion as we all committed to following our YF's Quiet Time plan even more closely, which takes us to Job 9 today!

We ended the night by going to Chuqing's 21st birthday celebration, where we shared in the joy of her coming of age with her whole extended family and her closest friends and schoolmates! May we enjoy many more years of her service with us, as we did this year with her stepping up to serve as a Purpose Driven Life host and as an ECS guitarist. Way to go sister!

Purposeful, Eventful Sept-Oct

The past weeks have been thoroughly purposeful and eventful for the fellowship. We had our 40PDL campaign where up to 45 brothers and sisters joined each week in reading and discussing the material in Rick Warren's bestseller over six weeks. We sure learnt and grew alot in this period - may the Lord help us it live out. Of note was the salvation of our new friend WJ, whose addition to our fellowship brings us so much joy and amazement at the Lord's work!

This was swiftly followed by our combined Talentime programme where we had an array of talents on display, before Genxian's departure for Southampton two weeks ago and our YF's 11th involvement in China missions in five years. We then rounded up a busy fall with a simple but meaningful dinner at Burger Shack, in celebration of the October babies' birthdays!

Bowling Day

Last week, YF had our first ever combined bowling day. We sure had great fun watching each other score strikes... and even when the balls kept going down the gutter!

We had the most conscientious organiser in Jiami, who kept things interesting and meaningful, getting us to "time-out" memorise our anchor verses among other things!

We also had a special guest appearance in Rev Liow, whose score blew some of the group combined scores away! In-ba man!

Wenqing herself didn't do too badly either, scoring many strikes along the way.

No wonder she was beaming left to right the whole night!

Today we gathered to celebrate the 22nd birthday of our dear brother Jiahao. Ever since he came up with the 8788s, he has been an ever steady support as a co-worker and prayer warrior in our midst. Bible Study and May Babies' Celebration!

This weekend we had a great bible study led by Sophia and Qingqing on the Heart of Influence. Using John 15:1-8 as an anchor for the study, we learnt how this heart is intricately linked to bearing fruit, with Christ as the vine and us the branches! Kudos to the two sisters who put good effort into the bible study and gave us a fresh perspective on our theme for the month. May YF be a plot of fertile land, bearing fruits that give the world around us a taste of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness goodness and faithfulness. Press on YF as we allow God the gardener to trim us to His liking, and into His likeness!

April-May - The Heart of Influence

As we press on in Passion month, we have been called to learn more about the 'Heart' aspect of influencing lives. Last Saturday, we learnt about this through a bible study led by Justin Leow. In tandem with our reading of Romans and Paul's other letters for our QT programme, we learnt about this heart through Paul's life as described in Acts.

Indeed, the Heart of Influence exists when we experience the following...

Filling of the Holy Spirit
(“After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” – Acts 4:31)

Deeper Wisdom
(“To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit.” – 1 Cor 12:8)

Disclosure of God’s activity
(“Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." – John 14:21)

Effectiveness in Service
(“Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.” – Ps 127:1)

Character more conformed to Christ
(“For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” – Rom 8:29)

Intimate Relationship with Christ
(“I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,” – Phil 3:10)

May our ears hear and understand, our eyes see and perceive and our hearts feel and love the mission God has called us to. May we stand on the side of the best cause, firing on all cylinders with passionate intensity! Go YF!

The "Life" in "Life-Influencing Lives" and... our February Birthdays

Yesterday we had our first bible study on the "Life" sub-theme of our Life-Influencing Lives". It was a simple and well-led session by Wenjun and Yijie who screened a video on the Livingstones, chronicling the Jesus' disciples footsteps from their calling, and their challenges in the face of a dominant worldly culture.

It was a moving session where we managed to share amongst ourselves and be reminded of our place in this body of Christ ["You (Plural) are the Temple (Singular)"], as well as being reminded of what it takes to be a disciple ("How badly do you want to be like Jesus?") Press on YF!

Following that, we had a lovely time celebrating our February babies' birthdays! Here are some snapshots of the great time we had!

Yesterday we came together to celebrate the wedding of Michel and our beloved sister Jieying. It was a poignant moment watching a sister who had grown up with us moving on to a new stage in life. All the brothers and sisters who helped out felt a sense of nostalgia as we recounted our days spent together as junior youth and youth. Happy Tiger Year

On the 3rd day of the Tiger Lunar New Year, we had our reunion dinner in our humble abode at B18. It was a simple affair marked by great food and even greater fellowship as we revelled in the first days of the Tiger year. We thank God in seeing how the hard work by Vincent, Qiurong, Wenhao, Siyuan and Aunty Ruilei came to fruition as we all had a great dinner! On the stroke of midnight 1 January 2010, our fellowship gathered at CCD's place to countdown as a fellowship. Following our countdown, we all did our first QT of 2010 as a YF, starting on the book of Matthew together. It was a simple affair and we had more brothers and sisters joining us afterwards for a supper at Beautyworld Macs!

Shihao's coming back towards the end of last year was a great blessing to our fellowship as he warmed our hearts with his passion. Two weeks ago, our fellowship held our Talentime for 2009. It was a simple affair, but a great chance for us to display and demonstrate the talents God has planted in us. Although our talents and equipment are humble, we gave thanks seeing how God has helped us improve in our music-playing and singing abilities over the year as our brothers and sisters stepped up to serve at ECS. Happy 21st Sarah Fan!

Yesterday we celebrated Sarah’s 21st in advance (1 Nov). The stormy weather outside could not daunt our spirits as God blessed the time of fellowship we had over dinner at Sakae.

Not One Is Upright

NS Day

Today our YF organised an NS Day for our brothers who will be enlisting on 6 October. We had sharings from brothers who had served in the police, air force and army. It was a warm session as we shared about some of the things we had learnt in our two years of service and how we have experienced God. We pray our enlistees will go in, to be light and salt of their camps!

Yesterday on Teacher's Day, we appreciated our dear teacher and brother Wenguang over dinner at Holland V. It was a surprise treat and we got Winson and Sarah to meet Yinhuan and the unsuspecting Wenguang at NYDC over a "couples' chill session" before YF rushed in to stun him!

Celebrations over the Weekend

Last Sunday, we were delighted to have Genhong back with us from Malacca to celebrate his birthday. We also shared the pleasure of serving alongside him at ECS as he drummed his high energy beats for God above. Yesterday, we took time off to celebrate our sister ling's 23rd birthday! We went to Ichiban Sushi at IMM, where the food was ichiban and so was the company. =).
